Luis Miguel Gallego Basteri was born 19 April 1970 in San Juan, Puerto Rico. ROMANCES has sold in excess of four and a half million copies to date, (becoming the fastest selling LUIS MIGUEL album). It has also garnered over 50 platinum discs: 11 in Argentina, 9 in the US and Puerto Rico, 8 in Chile, 6 in Venezuela, 5 in Spain, 4 in Mexico and Central America, 2 in Colombia, Bolivia and Paraguay, 1 in Peru and Ecuador, and gold in Brazil.
